Meet Luna and donate to support her surgery costs!

Luna is  a  happy  puppy,  although  she  can  be sassy;) She loves  her  squeaky toys and banana popsicles. Luna is always ready for adventures or a ride to Starbucks. She  lives in the moment.

Luna also had a condition  called PDA,  Patent Ductus Arteriosus. Basically,  she  had a large hole in  her  heart. Luna  was  born  with this  defect.  PDA  is  caused when a blood vessel present in the fetus, called the ductus arteriosus, remains open after birth. It typically closes shortly after birth,  but in  Luna's  case  it  remained open.

Because  of the defect, Luna's  blood didn't circulate  normally,  her heart  had  to work harder  than  normal. Fortunately,  surgery  can  correct the defect.

Luna had surgery on 8/26/24 to correct her PDA  and is recovering in a  foster home. She is not up for adoption until  her recovery  is  complete.

The surgery cost $6500. We are accepting donations toward  her  surgery and recovery and  we need  your  help.
